About Me
I'm not much of a coffee drinker
Hi, I'm Mitch! I live in Sydney Australia as a front-end web designer. I've been freelancing for a while now - designing websites, building Flash applications and dabbling in graphic design. My philosophy is to fuse usability with personality in the hope to create engaging, memorable online experiences.
I'm also powered by popular culture; films, art, music vids and gaming. You'll see these influences in my work.
What I Can Do
My skills spread across multiple areas, from static HTML5 markup with CSS3 and JQuery to intricate Flash modules with backend integration and advanced animation. I create all my own vector graphics and generally try to involve myself in as many technologies as I can to stay current. I'm forever learning something new!
Tools of the Trade
I actually started out in Flash close to 9 years ago, as a result I've developed an uncanny mastery with the Flash IDE; illustrating everything inside it with fine precision and exporting out to Photoshop or Fireworks for tweaking. I use Espresso for coding and Parallels for Windows testing. When it comes to CSS I swear by the 960 Grid System and CSS3PIE; truly superb inventions. I also use Razor SQL for databases.
